TULF leader V. Ananda Sangari requests the TNA to join the national government to resolve the issues of the Tamil people, which were left unresolved for half a century.
Addressing a letter to leader of TNA R. Sambanthan, he further stated that the Tamil people cast their vote during the recent General Election for a national accord.
V. Ananda Sangari also stated that, the President and the Prime Minister have assured that they will resolve the issues of the Tamil people under the new regime.
Meanwhile, talks are currently underway in Trincomalee with regard to the candidates to be nominated for the 2 national list seats of the TNA.
The meeting is held under the patronage of party leader R. Sambanthan.
A meeting was held among the former parliamentarians and the newly elected MPs yesterday but the meeting concluded without a consensus.
