The second phase of postal voting in view of the upcoming parliamentary election will take place today and tomorrow.
The Election Secretariat said that government employees other than police and education service employees could cast their postal vote during these two days.
Postal voting began last Monday with the day set apart for police officers and Zonal and Divisional Education Office staff and all teachers.
Police and Education service staff could cast their postal vote on 8th of this month on submitting their official polling card to the returning officer of the district they currently serve.
Similarly election department and district secretariat staff could cast their postal vote on 8th this month.
This time 567 thousand 291government employees are eligible to cast their vote by post.
