Former General Secretary of the United Peoples Freedom Alliance (UPFA) MP Susil Premajayantha arrived at the Presidential Commission of Inquiry to Investigate and Inquire into Serious Acts of Fraud, Corruption and Abuse of Power, State Resources and Privileges (PRECIFAC), a short while ago.
He has arrived at the PRECIFAC to record a statement over nonpayment of outstanding bills to the ITN for propaganda during the Presidential election period. It is said that the ITN is to receive Rs. 115 million.
PRECIFAC secretary - Lasil de Silva said that several others have arrived at the PRECIFAC as well.
When commission officials had inquired about this from the former President Mahinda Rajapaksa recently, he has asked them to inquire about this from the party secretary as such activities were done as a party. During that period, it was Susil Premajayantha who was functioning as the UPFA general secretary.
Former chairman of the ITN as well as former minister Keheliya Rambukwella were also questioned on this regard.
