The resolution on Sri Lanka presented by the U.S. to UNHRC in Geneva was adopted without a vote today.
The resolution was adopted after 25 countries commented over it during the 30th session of the UNHRC today.
The U.S. Resolution on Sri Lanka was taken for debate at 5 this evening, and it was co-sponsored by several countries including the United Kingdom, Australia and Germany.
Representatives from Montenegro and Macedonia said they the current human rights situation in Sri Lanka would be commendable.
They further said that they would support to improve the existing human rights situation in the country.
Addressing the UNHRC session, the U.K Representative said his country is ready to coordinate with Sri Lanka in protecting human rights situation.
