President Maithripala Sirisena said that the Government will take every possible step to provide a quality health service to all its citizens by overcoming the challenges in the health sector.
Participating in a ceremony to declare open the new seven-storey ward complex at the Kandy General Hospital, the President said the Government will provide required physical and human resources as well as take steps to implement the necessary policies to improve the health services in the country.
Health Minister Rajitha Senarathna states that there is no medicines scarcity in the country at present.
However, Minister Rajitha Senerathna stated that during the past even Polio vaccinations were not available due to mistakes committed by officials.
He made this comment participating in a ceremony to declare open the new seven-storey ward complex at the Kandy General Hospital.
