The All Ceylon Canteen Owners Association says that they will increase product prices from today onwards as product prices in markets are yet to be reduced.
Accordingly, a milk tea will be priced at Rs. 35 with a plain tea and hopper priced at Rs. 15 each, says the Association's National Organizer - Asela Sampath.
Also, the price of a rice packet is to be increased by Rs. 10.
However, the National Movement to Protect Consumers (NMPC) says that the above decision of the All Ceylon Canteen Owners Association is unfair as Budget 2016 has proposed much relief.
