Ministry of Foreign Affairs has settled to 58 conditions by the European Union (EU) to regain GSP Plus.
The conditions include revoking of the Prevention of Terrorism Act, to expedite court cases of detainees, introduction of a new Human Rights Action Plan, return private lands to the owners in North and adopt a policy of National Reconciliation and on National Resettlement.
The EU has stated that they are awaiting a development in human rights in Sri Lanka.
The EU would give GSP Plus only if the conditions are met.
However, Deputy Foreign Minister Harsha de Silva said they were able to reduce the number to 20.
